The house had a stone terrace in poor condition and a wooden area damaged by humidity, with structural problems. The owners wanted to extend the kitchen, connecting it with the exterior, and renovate the entire terrace area.
Demolition of the existing terrace and reconstruction in reinforced concrete, including the technical room. Installation of a large aluminum sliding window and wooden carpentry works. Kitchen extension with oak flooring and high-quality furniture. Renovation of electrical and plumbing installations. Construction of an outdoor kitchen. The client chose an exterior microcement finish, carried out by another company, which eventually developed cracks: a clear lesson that this material is not suitable for the Basque climate.
A complete and functional extension, improving the link between indoors and outdoors. Despite the issues with the client’s chosen finish, the project achieved high-quality results in all other aspects.
