A client entrusted us with the renovation of a small apartment facing the sea in Biarritz, with the goal of preparing it for rental. It was also one of our first complete apartment renovations. The west-facing façade suffered from water infiltration and significant noise due to the proximity of the sea. The owner had installed a double window to reduce wind and noise, but this reduced interior space.
The old kitchen was removed and replaced with a new one, the bathroom was renovated, the floors were changed, and both the electrical and plumbing installations were completely redone. A particular aspect of this project was the collective heating system: on the day of the shutdown, the whole community was left without heating for a few hours. Later, regulators were installed so that the radiators could be reinstalled and future modifications made without having to stop the entire system. In addition, the existing double window was replaced with an aluminium window with triple glazing, providing much greater acoustic and thermal insulation.
A fully renovated, functional and attractive apartment for rental. The client was very satisfied with the result, and so were we, gaining further experience in full apartment renovations. Acoustic and thermal comfort improved significantly, and interior space was gained thanks to the new window.
